Just so you guys are aware, when I called and asked for a solution to this problem: I had my septic tank pumped out(by you guys), and the pumper(Arthur) said my outlet baffle was rusted and needed to be replaced with a sanitary tee. How do I connect to existing 4" concrete pipe? The answer he gave was: cut the concrete pipe, chip out the existing concrete pipe from the steel septic tank, insert 4" ABS, connect with a Fernco, then morter around the ABS and hope for no leaks! Your estimate was $750 to do this. There is an easier solution. www.polylok.com (obtained from HD Fowler). Just lighly hammer it into the existing 4" concrete pipe, attach sanitary tee - done! Specific product is here:

We appreciate your business on the septic pumping. We are not familiar with that fitting and there is likely very good reason. In order to simply hammer something into a pipe like that, it is going to have to be smaller in diameter than the pipe itself. This creates what is known as a "speed bump" in the pipes flow which could easily cause waste solids to get hung up and eventually clog the system. For this exact reason, reducing the diameter of a pipe midstream isn't just against best practice in the plumbing industry, it is actually against state and local plumbing codes. So while they can market that fitting as a quick solution, it's not something we would ever be able to use, or recommend using, as a licensed, professional plumbing company. Also, it seems like there is not a solid connection holding this fitting in place, such as glue or a clamp. If that's true it could be easily knocked out with a snake, water jet, or just from regular sewer usage. So again, obviously we are obliged to work by those codes, but we also want to make sure offer the best and most lasting solutions to our customers.

"I had my septic tank pumped out and inspected with a camera. The service tech Arthur found the leech lines were plugged and blasted them clean with a high pressure wash system.Arthur was professional, fast and I got a lot of work done for my money.I had checked a few other businesses for just pumping out the tank their prices are much lower than most.I would definitely use them again."
